special Guest speaker - Trudi Tapscott

Founder of “The Model Coaches” and former VOGUE Magazine Model Editor, will be leading a discussion on the ins and outs of becoming a model. It’s every model’s dream to be in “Vogue”, but it takes much more than just being a pretty face to make it. Hear what she looked for and how she now “coaches” models in their careers.

Model Agent & Founder of The Model CoOp, CORINNE NICOLAS, and Casting/TV Agent, Producer & Founder of One Girl Production, CHRISTINA COTRONIS have represented and worked with some of the world’s top models. “The Models Academy” is their creation. A platform where aspiring talent can gain invaluable inside info about the modeling and fashion industry straight from NYC industry pros. Who better to know what makes a model than the agents, editors and photographers that create them.  During “The Model Challenge” event, these industry insiders will answer many of the questions you may have about the industry and give you a better understanding of what clients look for and expect in a model.

“This industry has taught us so much and we were fortunate to have mentors that believed in us when we began. There are so many young people that are interested in starting a career in the fashion industry, but do not have any connections or support. With this workshop, our goal is to pass on some of our knowledge and help them walk away with the proper tools and resources to start their careers.  There are many facets to the fashion industry, and we hope they will have a better understanding of it, after they spend the day with us.”
